Exploring Academic Basics & Hands-On Learning

A Learning Environment

Children are natural seekers, so Linfield's Transitional Kindergarten program provides them with an opportunity to explore and grow developmentally through hands-on experiences. They are encouraged to step into academic learning through structured play that introduces some basics, but they also are given opportunities to finger paint, play house, and sing songs.

Challenging Young Minds

Our curriculum is tailored to challenge students to gain a deeper understanding of problem solving, phonetic awareness, and number sense. Through these experiences, our students begin the exciting process of building a foundation for learning that will stay with them for a lifetime. As we place a strong emphasis on language, listening, and communication skills, our students strengthen existing skills and abilities while learning new ones. Linfield's Transitional Kindergarten students receive academic instruction using a Kindergarten level curriculum, but they do so in a nurturing environment attuned to the individual academic, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the children in the class.

A Faith Foundation

All academic instruction is centered on Christ as the cornerstone in our learning foundation. Every lesson plan, every manipulative set, every circle time, and every art project is designed to honor and reflect the Creator God who made us, and we want our youngest students to understand that God's love is the foundation upon which they can always stand.
